History of American Tree Experts, Inc.

American Tree Experts was founded in 1950 by Chester Ziemienski, who had a passion for providing care to the trees that surround our neighborhoods. After graduating with a degree in forestry from the University of Michigan, Chester saw a need for a professional tree care provider to serve the Milwaukee area. As a result, City Tree Service was founded, which was renamed American Tree Experts in 1974.

Chester's three sons joined the thriving business between 1970 and 1974. After 39 years the business was sold to his oldest son, Jesse Ziemienski, who is the current President of American Tree Experts. Jesse's son, Dean Ziemienski, then joined the company in 2007 after receiving his degree in urban forestry from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. Dean has since become Vice President of American Tree Experts. Chester's dedication to professional tree care has been passed along for over 50 years and continues to be the focus of American Tree Experts.
